H1B Cap Seasons for 2021

15 March 2021 • Written by Jared Leung

If it has always been your dream to live and work in America, it is possible. The country has gone through a tumultuous four years. Immigration rules and laws changed somewhat during that time, but the next four years promise changes that will be favorable to those who want to put their talent, drive, and energy to good use in the United States.

If you have at least an undergraduate degree or you work in a highly specialized field which requires such a degree, you may be eligible for the H-1B Program. This allows companies and other employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in occupations that require the practical application of highly theoretical or abstract knowledge usually associated with at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. People who qualify for this program may include those who work in fields such as architecture, engineering, mathematics, the physical and social sciences, medicine, accounting, law, theology, the arts, etc. People who are experts in certain areas of business and management may also qualify.

To be selected, you must file an H-1B cap-subject petition. To do this, you must electronically register with the United States Citizenships and Immigration Services (USCIS)

The H-1B cap season lottery for FY 2022 will begin at 12pm EST on March 9, 2021 and will run through March 25, 2021. Whether the initial registration period actually ends on March 25 will depend on the number of registrations that USCIS receives. The agency will determine the final registration date once it has received a sufficient number of registrations. However, it is fully anticipated that USCIS will receive sufficient number of H1B registration by March 25 2021 to end the registration period on that day.

If you qualify for this program, you should contact an immigration attorney Scottsdale. An immigration attorney Scottsdale AZ will help guide you through the process. The most important thing is to submit your petition forms in a timely manner and with the right information on them. You may also need a lawyer if your petition is rejected for reasons that you cannot understand. You should speak to an Immigration Attorney Scottsdale, AZ at the Law Office of Jared Leung for more information.
